Practice for the Graded Exam:
- After completing your Get with the Guidelines-Resuscitation Practice Test (document), you should review the results and record all questions that you missed.
- Download a copy of the Get with the Guidelines-Resuscitation Practice Test - Answers and Rationale (document) with all correct answers marked in yellow highlight and explanation below each answer in red font. Use this document to make certain you understand any mistakes you may have made and contact your AHA Local Quality Improvement Staff Representative if you have any questions.

Below are next steps in progressing through the certification process now that you have completed the Get with the Guidelines - Resuscitation Practice Test. Before accessing the Get with the Guidelines - Resuscitation Data Abstractor Certification Exam, please make certain you prepare thoroughly and consider the following learning opportunities:
- Have you reviewed all Training Materials? Feel free to refer to these frequently during your certification testing.
- Download and review your copy of the Practice Test with Answers and Rationales (document). Keep this document handy for reference while completing the Get with the Guidelines-Resuscitation Certification Exam.
- Review the Coding Instructions which can be accessed from the PMT (for current abstractors).
- New abstractors can get a copy from your AHA Local Quality Improvement Staff Representative.
- Use the Step-by-Step Guide for Completing the Get with the Guidelines® - Resuscitation Data Abstractor Exam (PDF) as a guide using the testing platform.
- Once you feel comfortable understanding the Coding Instructions and other review materials, you may proceed to the 2019 Part 2 - Get with the Guidelines-Resuscitation: Data Abstractor Training and Certification Program - Certification Exam(link opens in new window).
When you register for the Part 2 Certification Exam, you will need to enter the access code gwtgcertification.
The minimum passing score for Part 2 is 88% (three missed questions). There are no limits on the number of attempts to achieve a passing score. For assistance contact your AHA Local Quality Improvement Staff Representative.
