Teaching Gardens Network Grant Awardees

Congratulations on being awarded with a grant from the American Heart Association (AHA) Teaching Gardens Network grant program.  We received applications from almost 500 schools nationwide and you were one of the 50 schools selected to receive a grant.  The American Heart Association, in collaboration with Kelly Meyer, founder of OneSun, and Gail Becker, CEO of CAULIPOWER,(link opens in new window)(link opens in new window) are providing these funds to you to boost garden-based learning to support healthy food access and innovation in nutrition education.

There are several resources on this page to support your garden work.  Please utilize these resources after December 9, 2019 when we announce awardees publicly on our website.

  1. Official American Heart Association Teaching Gardens Sign – Proudly display this sign in your Teaching Garden.  Available only to grant recipients!
  2. Teaching Garden Resources and fun signs for your garden – Check out several resources to help teach your students about the benefits of fruits and vegetables.  We’ve also included several fun signs you may wish to print and post around your garden.
  3. E-mail copy which may be used to share information to parents, school board members, community groups, and others about your grant.
  4. Social media copy that may be used on your social media sites.

Please note the following regarding publicizing your grant:
