In 2014, we celebrated 90 years of saving lives and helping people experience more of life's precious moments. To do that, we all must be healthy in heart and mind. Our mission may appear to be simple, but there is a lot of work to be done. Our 2020 goal is to improve the cardiovascular health of all Americans by 20 percent while reducing deaths from cardiovascular diseases and stroke by 20 percent. Learn more about our mission.
Our Guiding Values Embody Everything We Do -
From bringing science to life to inspiring passionate commitment to helping ensure equitable healthcare for all, our Guiding Values provide a framework for our employees to help others. We have funded 13 Nobel Prize winners, including nine whose AHA-funded work led to the Nobel Prize. Our Guiding Values will allow us to achieve our 2020 Goal. With the Torch as our guiding light, volunteers and staff partnered to develop our eight guiding values to drive our mission and the work that AHA does. Take a moment to review them and then see if you can bring several if not all of these values to help us reach our mission. Learn more about our Guiding Values.
