For more than a decade, the American Heart Association and UCSF Health have been dedicated to supporting and empowering women to take charge of their health at every age, stage and season of their lives through Go Red BetterU. What is Go Red BetterU?

Background:

Cardiovascular disease is the No. 1 killer of women. Go Red for Women is the American Heart Association's signature initiative to address the awareness and clinical care gaps of women’s greatest health threat, cardiovascular disease. Women motivate each other. Educate each other. Support each other. Inspire each other. Let’s take charge of our health together.

Program Details*:

  • Length of program: 10 weeks
  • The program will run from September 2 – November 4.
  • The program includes three in-person sessions, the first class, final class and a hands-on cooking demonstration. These sessions will be held on Wednesday evenings at UCSF and will follow American Heart Association guidelines.
  • All other classes will be held virtually on Wednesdays from 12 to 1 p.m.

Participant Requirements:

  • Attend at least 80% of classes
  • Must be 18 years or older to apply
  • Open to all!
