Make an Impact with Your Chapter
Join the American Heart Association and engage your Ticktockers and Patronesses in compelling and impactful volunteer experiences! Our volunteer activities are designed to drive equitable health impact in our communities and support the mission and priorities of the AHA to improve mental health and physical well-being, nutrition security, and rates of Hands-Only CPR use.
Our volunteer activities are simple and easy to implement with virtual, face to face and hybrid opportunities available. The AHA provides toolkits with step-by-step guidance to help chapters conduct various activities independently.
How to Get Started
Step 1: Click on “Support Your Local Heart Walk” to find out when and where your Heart Walk will take place. Sign up and mark the calendar! Your local AHA representative can help identify ways to support the Heart Walk event.
Step 2: Mark the calendar for National Go Red For Women Day on Friday, February 7th, 2025! Explore the women’s heart health resources and identify ways for your Chapter to celebrate Go Red Day and American Heart Health month throughout February.
Step 3: Review and share the Hands Only CPR and Heart Healthy Food Drive Toolkits with your chapter. These volunteer activities can be completed by your chapter anytime throughout the year.

Go Red for Women is designed to increase women's heart health awareness and serve as a catalyst for change to improve the lives of women globally. Celebrate and promote National Wear Red Day on February 2, 2024.

Collect nutritious items for a local food access organization to help our neighbors live full and healthy lives.
