Run the 2027 Boston Marathon with the American Heart Association

Run the 2027 Boston Marathon® with the American Heart Association

The American Heart Association is proud to participate in the 2027 Bank of America Boston Marathon Official Charity Program. By joining our team, you’ll take on one of the world’s most iconic races while helping fund lifesaving breakthroughs and proven solutions that improve cardiovascular health in Greater Boston and communities across the country.

Select the Apply Here tab to fill out your application.

Because charity entries are limited, all applications are reviewed individually. By applying, you agree to raise a minimum of $15,000 in support of the American Heart Association’s mission.

Applications are evaluated based on several factors, including:

  • Your fundraising goal and fundraising plan
  • Your connection to the American Heart Association’s mission
  • Community involvement and engagement
  • Timing of your application submission

While all runners must commit to the $15,000 minimum, preference may be given to applicants who demonstrate the ability and commitment to exceed that goal.

Selected runners are responsible for paying the Boston Marathon registration fee directly to the Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.). The 2027 registration fee has not yet been announced. The fee was $385 in 2026.

  • Guaranteed entry into the 2027 Boston Marathon
  • A personalized fundraising page and ongoing fundraising support
  • Coaching and training resources to help you prepare for race day
  • Exclusive American Heart Association race-day and training apparel
  • Special recognition opportunities for top fundraisers
  • Dedicated support from American Heart Association staff throughout your journey

Whether you’re running in honor of a loved one, celebrating your own health journey or looking to make a difference, you’ll be part of a team united by a shared purpose: creating a world of longer, healthier lives.
