Bob Swan

Bob Swan is volunteer treasurer of the American Heart Association for 2025-27. In this role, he is responsible for governance of the Association’s funds and securities. Swan is an operating partner on the Growth Investing team of venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, where he advises growth-stage portfolio companies as they scale their businesses.

Prior to joining Andreessen Horowitz, he was CEO of Intel, where he oversaw 110,000 employees, $78B in sales, and increased annual sales by approximately $25B during his tenure as CEO and CFO.

Previously, he was an operating partner at General Atlantic and served as CFO of eBay for 9 years, where he led the spin-off of PayPal in 2015. Earlier in his career, he was CFO of Electronic Data Systems and TRW, and served as CFO, COO, and CEO of Webvan. He began his career at General Electric, holding several senior finance roles during his 15-year tenure.

Originally from Syracuse, N.Y., Swan earned his BS from the University of Buffalo and his MBA degree from Binghamton University. He serves on the board of directors at Nike, Micron, Flexport, ClickUp, Kearney, American Heart Association (AHA) and E3Tech and previously served on the board of Intel, eBay, Skype and Applied Materials. He is married and has two children.
