The American Heart Association (AHA) and American Medical Association (AMA) invite you to the Missouri Hypertension Control Summit. This one-day event will bring together hypertension control leaders from across Missouri and beyond to share expertise, strategies, and successes towards improving hypertension control in our region.
Join us in creating a movement of improved hypertension control through the AHA/AMA’s Target: BP™ initiative.
Target: BP is a nationwide initiative developed by the AMA/AHA recognizing commitment and excellence in patient hypertension control save efforts. It provides evidence-based tools and resources to support health care providers in optimizing hypertension treatment and patient engagement in better health behaviors.

Deadline to Register: November 29, 2019
Summit participants and speakers are invited to showcase their hypertension control strategies, successes, and research as a part of the Missouri Hypertension Control Summit. The Summit poster session provides an opportunity to share current and recent hypertension control efforts across the state, along with the strategy success and lessons learned.
Poster topics should be related to:
- Improvements in clinical blood pressure measurement procedures and tracking.
- Improvements in clinical follow up and tracking of hypertensive patients.
- Improvements in engaging patients in blood pressure self-monitoring efforts.
- Strategies for promoting improved hypertension control with team-based care.
Traveling to the Missouri Hypertension Control Summit:
The event will be held at The Donald Danforth Plant Science Center, located at 975 North Warson Road, St. Louis, MO 63132 at the northwest corner of Olive and Warson. As you enter the campus off Warson Road, the Danforth Center is the large building that faces Olive and is on the left.
