 | Welcome to the Wilkes Heart and Stroke Walk. This is an annual event to celebrate the life of Sam Day. The walk is a fun, family event that promotes exercise and a healthy lifestyle as ways to prevent cardiovascular disease. Participants leave knowing that not only have they done something for a worthwhile cause, they have spent the day doing something for themselves. |
We are a small group, working for a large cause and we hope you will join us. Cardiovascular disease touches all our lives in some way, but by working together we can make a difference! The Wilkes Heart and Stroke Walk is coming up on October 9 at Wilkes Community College. We will walk at 11:00am and then at 1:30pm we are excited to bring you a world class concert by SARA BAREILLES and THE KRUGER BROTHERS. The walk is free and the concert is only $20.00 with all proceeds going to the American Heart Association. The concert will be held at Creekside Stage so bring your chairs and blankets.
