On Jan. 20, 2010, American Heart Association CEO Nancy Brown publicly announced our new 2020 Impact Goal. In conjunction with this announcement, the Brand, Advertising & Design team launched a new online advertising and social media campaign themed “Today’s the Day.” Our goal is to educate the general public about what AHA/ASA does while influencing behavior change toward ideal heart health. Ultimately, we will try to create a movement by encouraging Americans to focus on small, simple steps toward a healthy lifestyle. The goal of the campaign is to build a strong base of supporters and loyalists to help educate the public about the importance of heart health and to support the movement behind our new 2020 goal. Our online efforts drive consumers to our www.todaysthedayistart.org landing page. In addition to our media buy, we have built out our official AHA Facebook and Twitter accounts.
