I have been working on trying to break my habit of binge eating and going for sweets and carbs. So I am reaching out to desperately get the help to stop or break my patterns.
I have been told that I am pre-diabetic, and at one point my doctor had me coming in a week or two later to follow up because I was so close to becoming diabetic.
My grandmother, mother and uncle, were all adult onset diabetics. My mom who passed away in May was on high doses of insulin her last few years of life. Although she lived in an assisted living floor and her food was somewhat monitored, she managed to eat everything possible that was not good for her. She was a binge eater and was addicted to carbs, sugar and more.
My three sisters and I are all overweight. My twin sister and my younger sister (half sister, 12 years younger) are all being recommended for stomach bypass or stomach stapling. I have been working on trying to break my habit of binge eating and going for sweets and carbs.
So I am reaching out to desperately get the help to stop or break my patterns. I have numbness in two of my toes on both feet already. I am not aware of what or how exercise affects my blood sugar level, and I look forward to information and exercises to help me loose weight and get the exercise that I need to become fit. I am 5’4” and weigh 215 lbs. This is not a weight that I am comfortable with, and my self-esteem is very low. I have been walking for a while now, minimum ½ hour, 5 days a week, usually. I do perspire easily, but I am able to walk a ½ hour to 45 minutes. I appreciate this program, and look forward to working with you.
