Wear Red Day – February 1, 2013

    A.  Wear Red Day Toolkit online filled with downloadable materials at www.goredforwomen.org/wearredday.        
    B.  Educate and motivate employees to take concrete actions to reduce their risk of heart disease.
    C.  Wear Red Day How To Guide with a list of activity options (Select at least four for implementation)

Life's Simple 7 - Steps to a healthier heart

  
  A.  Start with an online assessment that takes only 7 minutes - My Life Check.
    B.  You will discover your "heart score" and steps you need to improve your health.

Walking program

Implement the AHA Walking program.  Components include
    A.  Health Message posters
    B.  Walking route icons to direct employees along your walking route
    C.  Mileage Tracking Tools to help employees track how far they walk
    D.  Walking Challenge:  Set goal to walk a set distance.  Example: the Lewis and Clark trail or to a different city such as Orlando, Florida.
    E.  Hold a recognition event to celebrate milestone awards. 
    F.  Walking Program Goal Posters to help walking groups track their progress.
