The American Heart Association’s Hands-Only CPR Mobile Tour will be rolling through Ohio to teach local Youngstown, Columbus, Cleveland and Dayton residents how to perform Hand Only CPR. This life-saving technique, taught to the beat of “Stayin’ Alive” by the Bee Gees, will be the focus of the training that aims to reach 400 or more individuals in each city.
The nationwide tour kicked off June 5, 2012 in New York City, and will continue this year and next. In total, individuals in more than 20 cities will be instructed in Hands Only CPR. The training sessions are free, open to the public and all participants will receive a free CPR Anytime Kit to take home.

In addition to the trainings open to the public, the grant for the CPR Mobile Tours is taking the educational effort across the state to train thousands of employees at variety businesses in Ohio. These stops include trainings for FirstEnergy and FirstMerit employees in Akron; Battelle Memorial Institute and Huntington Bank employees in Columbus; Cintas and Luxottica employees in Cincinnati; and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield employees in Mason, Ohio.
A first for the organization, the state-of-the-art interactive CPR mobile tour will teach thousands of people the easy steps to save a life.
