On February 13, 2013 at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, New York we will honor outstanding members of the community; Karin Caro, Founder & CEO, BluChip Marketing, Laura Palacios, Group Director-Investments, Vice President, Signature Securities and Emma Q. Li, Chairperson, A&Z Pharmaceutical Inc. This educational luncheon brings together over 900 of Long Island?s top business and community leaders. The goal of this event is to educate participants on heart disease and the benefits of prevention, lifestyle changes, and advocating for oneself. The event day begins with educational workshops led by Long Island?s top medical and health professionals. Continuing with networking, a formal program of keynote, honoree speakers and a survivor story. The objective of the day is to empower women and men with the tools to change their lives and prevent heart disease.

Attached is a copy of the American Heart Association’s 2009-2010 Annual Diversity Report. This report highlights our organization’s successes in the area of diversity with emphasis on cultural competence. The report focuses on our consumer initiatives as well as our internal initiatives. We have broadened the scope of this year’s report to showcase initiatives in each of the Affiliates. Also, we have identified key partnerships, sponsorships and strategic alliances that enhanced our efforts to reach common goals.
