About this award...
Early Career Investigator Awards recognize promising and outstanding investigators in the early stages of their careers, stimulate continued interest in basic or clinical research, and help early career investigators participate in AHA meetings. Early career investigators are Ph.D.s and/or M.D.s who are still in training (i.e., residency, fellowship, etc.) or have completed training within the last four years; or Ph.D.s and/or M.D.s who are still within in the first four years after their first faculty appointment as of the award application date.
