Help the American Heart Association get America walking, and take steps toward a healthy life, by supporting the 2010 Youngstown Start! Heart Walk on Saturday, September 25 at the Covelli Centre in downtown Youngstown.  Registration will open at 9:00 a.m. in the Covelli Centre parking lot, and the walk will begin around 10:00 a.m.

As the signature fundraising event for the American Heart Association, the Start! Heart Walk promotes physical activity and heart-healthy living in a fun, family environment.  It's also the cornerstone event for the Start! physical activity initiative - a "hometown celebration" for those who are working hard to embrace healthier lifestyles.  The Start! Heart Walk will encourage hope, inspire change that can start today and celebrate success for all participants who commit to fighting cardiovascualr disease and stroke in their own lives. 

This year, more than 1 million walkers will participate in over 450 events nationwide, raising funds to save lives from this country's No. 1 and No. 3 killers - heart disease and stroke.
