Rev Your Engine in Support of the American Heart Association
Fox Sports Supports the American Heart Association during NASCAR season
You only need to make a few simple changes in your life to feel and look better and live a longer, healthier life. Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States. But research shows that any improvement in your exercise level and diet can also lower your chances of heart disease or stroke. If you smoke, you run the risk of losing 13-14 years of your life. It’s never too late to quit smoking. For example, if you have suffered a heart attack, your chances of another heart attack drop by 50 percent after the first year of you putting down your last cigarette. With this in mind, the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association has been selected as one of the five charitable organizations to receive support from FOX Sports Supports. The initiative raises awareness, volunteerism and financial assistance for select health-related charities through on-air mentions and public service announcements (PSA) to help those in need.
