Wear Red Day
National Wear Red Day is the first Friday in February every year. On Wear Red Day people all across the country wear red in support of the Go Red For Women movement. From events such as fashion shows and community cooking demonstrations to the Philadelphia 76ers Go Red Night, the city literally turns red every February to raise awareness about women and heart disease.

Red Dress Preview Party
Since 2008, the Go Red For Women movement has partnered with Philadelphia University fashion design department to have students design Red Dresses inspired by a connection to heart health. This year, 15 students competed to have the best designed red dresses of the year at a fashion show featuring Wilhelmina models held at the National Museum of American Jewish History. Andie from WXTU and Bill Henley from NBC 10 news were our co-hosts. The winning dresses are displayed in the window of Macy's in Center City.

The Gift Gathering Party
A celebration of the Go Red For Women cause held in an intimate setting for guests to network, mingle and enjoy!  This event allows attendees to personally support this cause in a fun and unique way!  Each guest brings a gift basket to donate to the Go Red For Women Luncheon Silent Auction.  Last year, over 40 baskets were collected during the Gift Gathering Party, which accounted for 90% of the total auction items featured at the the luncheon.  The auction alone raised $13,000 towards the fight against the number one killer of women.....heart disease.

The Go Red for Women Luncheon
The 11th annual Go Red For Women Luncheon was a celebration of  the work and progress made by our volunteers, donors, and supporters.  We would like to thank our sponsors and supporters of this year’s record-breaking Luncheon. Thanks to your support, we are now in the top three most successful Luncheons in the country! This year we attracted more than 825 attendees and honored the 2014 Woman of the Heart, Dr. Mariell Jessup, from the Penn Heart and Vascular Center. Our thanks go out to Donna Allie of Team Clean Inc., for serving as our campaign chair, and Dr. Donald V. Ferrari from the Lankenau Heart Institute at Main Line Health for being our Go Red Champion this year.
