The Heart Walk is the American Heart Association's premiere event that brings communities together to raise funds and celebrate progress in the fight against this country's No. 1 and No. 4 killers, heart diseases and stroke.
This inspirational day is filled with energy, excitement and hope! Designed to promote physical activity and heart-healthy living, the Heart Walk creates an environment that's fun and rewarding for the entire family. This year, more than one million walkers will participate in nearly 350 events. Your participation will help us raise even more in our fight to save lives. Walk with friends, family, coworkers and other members of the community you meet along the way.

Set up your Personal Page
- After you register, click continue at bottom of confirmation form
- My HQ: Set your personal fundraising goal
- My HQ: Are you on Facebook? Click the blue Fundraise with Facebook button to add your fundraising thermometer and link to your facebook page – it takes just 4 clicks!
- My Webpage: Edit your personal page with a photo or add a YouTube video sharing why you are involved. (Learn how to upload a video to YouTube.)
Let your friends and family know you have joined the Heart Walk
- Email: Use an email template to start your message to family and friends, import your address book and send your message
- Facebook: Let your Facebook friends know you are fundraising for the AHA too – update your Facebook status right from the Email section of your HQ
- Twitter: Don’t forget to tweet about your fundraising progress and why you are walking by clicking on the Twitter link inside the Email section of your HQ
Fundraise Online
- Add gadgets from your HQ to community pages and blogs to spread the word
- Email contacts from your different email accounts to ask for their help and support of your fundraising
- Remember to thank your supporters…with personal notes/calls and recognizing them through Social Networking updates and tweets from your HQ
