AHA Power To End Stroke

Join us this year for the 5th Annual Power of Laughter Health Workshop & Comedy Luncheon.  We are serving up a great afternoon that includes:  a heart-healthy lunch, free health screenings, silent auction, vendors, exhibitors and an educational workshop, while using comedy to share the message of stroke prevention, stroke risk factors and warning signs.

Honoree:  Dr. Edgar B. Jackson, Jr., MD, is the principal of EBJ & Associates and Executive in Residence at Cleveland State University.  He is Chief of Staff Emeritus and former Senior Advisor to the President and CEO of University Hospitals (UH) and University Hospitals Case Medical Center.  Dr. Jackson's long and dedicated service to the community is a legacy to aspire to and we are proud that he is one of our outstanding medical partners.

Entertainment:  Our featured comedienne is also an actress, author, playwright and TV personality - the zany and outrageous, Kim Coles.  Best known for her five seasons as the unforgettable "Synclaire" on FOX's ground-breaking comedy series, Living Single, Kim  has also starred on numerous hit TV programs including, Frasier, Six Feet Under, In Living Color and One on One.  Additionally, she was the co-host of the nationally syndicated daytime talk show, In the Loop with I Village and has also co-hosted on The View and Good Day Live.

As an Ambassador for the American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association, Kim Coles is helping to spread the message of better cardiovascular health with her warm humor and insightful observations about the food we eat and our lifestyles.
