The 2013 Defiance County Heart Walk is the American Heart Association’s premiere event that brings communities together to raise funds and celebrate progress in the fight against this country’s No. 1 and No. 4 killers, heart disease and stroke.
You'll be exercising,having fun, and supporting a great cause all at the same time. Participants join company teams or form their own in honor of a loved one's battle with heart disease and stroke. Each walker is encouraged to raise $150 by collecting sponsorship from friends, family, and co-workers. The money raised benefits the American Heart Association by funding research, education, and advocacy efforts.
As the signature fundraising event for the American Heart Association, the Heart Walk promotes physical activity and heart-healthy living in a fun family environment. The Heart Walk will create hope, inspire change and celebrate success for all participants who commit to fighting cardiovascular disease and stroke in their own lives.
