The new edition of the Active Partnership product includes a workbook and DVD designed to help patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) recover and improve their health after a cardiac event or surgery. The DVD is divided into segments that correspond with the chapters in the workbook. It includes testimonials and vignettes from heart patients, their family members and healthcare professionals that teach the user how to apply many of the skills discussed in the workbook in their daily lives. Topics include risk factor management, understanding CAD, communication skills, taking medication, diet, physical activity, weight loss, stress management, smoking cessation, and dealing with depression.
