This is important news because heart failure afflicts nearly 6 million Americans – a number that is predicted to grow as our nation’s population ages. There is no cure for heart failure, also known as HF, but it often can be managed with medication. Healthy lifestyle choices can help to reduce the risk for cardiovascular diseases and HF.
