The American Heart Association and American Stroke Association 2009 Annual Report highlights our organization’s successes in the past fiscal year, including a chart showing how we invested our resources, sections describing achievements in different areas and recognition for donors who generously helped provide the resources we need to reach our goals. We also feature several personal stories of survival, caregiving, advocacy, research, and education.

The theme for the 2009 Annual Report is “Extraordinary Impact: I make a difference”.  This theme is based on looking at our past successes, including meeting the 2010 goal ahead of schedule, and then looking forward to our new brand promise of having an extraordinary impact on the lives of Americans.

We highlight individuals and their responsibility in living a healthy lifestyle; therefore the “I” in Individual is highlighted to demonstrate how each of us contributes to improving our own health and the health of those we care about.
