The course covers treatment beyond the first few emergency minutes and goes through stabilizing patients or transport phases of a pediatric emergency, in or out of the hospital.

Certification
American Heart Association PALS Provider Course Completion Card valid for two years.
During the course, an AHA PALS Instructor leads discussion around video-based lessons and simulation. Students participate in 12 core cases. An AHA PALS Instructor works with students as they complete their skills practice and skills testing. Students must also complete a written exam.
