DESCRIPTION:
Learn:® Rhythm Pediatric is a self-directed learning program designed for the general healthcare provider who needs basic ECG rhythm recognition skills, in addition to PALS students who do poorly on the PALS Precourse Self-assessment or want to review basic rhythm recognition skills.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
At the conclusion, participants should be able to: describe the normal cardiac cycle; identify correct electrode placement; illustrate how to quickly estimate pediatric heart rates; describe the characteristics of normal sinus mechanism; describe an arrhythmia and how to identify an arrhythmia; identify the core cardiac arrest rhythms; identify ventricular arrhythmias; identify non-shockable cardiac arrhythmias; identify peri-arrest arrhythmias; identify premature contractions; and review and correctly identify cardiac arrhythmias appropriately.
