The American Heart Association, in partnership with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Program, is working to increase awareness of the risks associated with high blood pressure. Our newest risk calculator is designed to do just that.

The American Heart Association’s High Blood Pressure Risk Calculator not only allows input of each individual user’s personal measures, but shows a very visual representation of that patient’s personalized risk for chronic disease, including heart disease and stroke, based on his or her individual factors.  The tool then goes on (in part 2) to show how the patient can modify and reduce these risks by making lifestyle changes.
