Blake H., 19I am a caring individual who puts others first and 100% effort into anything I do. I love to make people happy and making a positive impact is one of my biggest goals in life. My reason for being is to use my knowledge from personal experience to teach people the importance in life and how to make to most out of it.
I am Southern Indiana’s Youth Ambassador for the American Heart Association, where I assist in Jump-Rope for Heart, Red Outs, and Health Fairs. I also speak to elementary school kids about the importance in living heart healthy and I even give passion speeches to the larger community during fundraising events such as the 2010 Bloomington Heart Ball.
Through the help and support of the American Heart Association, I am now able to speak out about my life stories with more confidence. What I once thought was so frightening, I now enjoy speaking to large groups about the importance in living heart healthy and supporting the fight against heart diseases.
It is now possible for me to use my new communication skills to help develop and run future programs/education to promote the American Heart Association and its efforts to fight against heart disease. Along with this I can now engage myself with other opportunities out there that can help make a difference in my life and the life of others.
