(LINCOLN) July 17, 2012 — The American Heart Association invites Lincoln women ready to make permanent lifestyle changes to apply for the 4th annual Go Red Challenge at a one-day casting call, July 24.

The casting call will be from 4 to 7 p.m. at Gateway Mall, just north of the food court. Women interested in applying can get more information and download an application form.

“The Go Red Challenge is all about becoming a better you. The four challengers will work with professionals from Madonna ProActive and the Nebraska Heart Institute to make eating healthy, being active and taking care of their hearts a lifelong commitment,” said Sara Brown, American Heart Association corporate events director.

At the casting call, applicants will hand in or fill out a paper application form and have a one to two minute interview on camera. Attending the casting call is mandatory to participate in the challenge.

Following the casting call, finalists will be notified and invited to in-person interviews with the Go Red Challenge team. Four ladies will ultimately be selected to participate in the 2012 Go Red Challenge beginning Aug. 20.

“We want ladies to come to the casting call pumped up and excited about the Go Red Challenge. Be enthusiastic and ready to talk about why you want to make this big lifestyle change and you might just be one of the challengers this fall,” Brown said.

The challenge will begin in August and wrap up Nov. 19. The Challengers’ achievements will be recognized at the Go Red For Women Expo on Nov. 29.
