Heart2Heart - it's all about touching hearts, one life at a time.
The American Heart Association has a peer support program called Heart2Heart in Kansas City – through which volunteer Guides provide information, direction, and hope to someone who needs it.
- Are you trying to reduce your risk for heart disease or stroke – by losing weight, becoming more physically active, quitting smoking, or making other lifestyle changes?
- Have you experienced open heart surgery, by-pass surgery, stroke, heart transplant, or other types of coronary disease issues?
- Are you or a loved one about to undergo a heart test or procedure – and don’t have all the information you need?
- Are you caring for a heart disease or stroke survivor and would like to connect with someone who understands?
If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then Heart2Heart may be just what you’re looking for!
Online, over the telephone or in person, Heart2Heart matches volunteer guides who have knowledge and personal experience with participants who are facing a similar situation and need guidance – or just someone to talk to.
Our trained Heart Guides – who have been in your shoes – will help you through your journey by providing American Heart Association information and resources, as well as the benefit of their personal experience.
