Registration Fee:Free event. Participants are encouraged to collect donations.

The 2012 Kansas City Heart Walk at Theis Park on Saturday, May 19th is our "mission in action."

Through the Heart Walk, we create opportunities for people to improve their health by walking and simultaneously raise funds to help fight heart disease and stroke.  Activities begin at 7:30am; heart walk steps off at 9:00am - rain or shine!

  • Walkers can organize teams at the companies where they work or with family and friends. 
  • Walkers ask others to support their walk effort by sponsoring them with a donation to the American Heart Association. 
  • Learn Hands-Only CPR; instructors and manikins available
  • Kids Zone with inflatables, hula hoops, tattoos, face painting, fun games and more!
  • Bishop Tolbert Academy’s Drill Team (kindergarten through eighth grade) 
  • Jazzercise demonstration & warm-up

Many participants are heart disease and stroke survivors; others walk in honor or memory of a friend or family member who has or had heart disease or stroke.		You will be inspired to make changes in your daily life to reduce your risk of heart disease and stroke.
