THANK YOU to all of our participating schools, awesome volunteers, and fabulous students who are helping us to reach our Impact Goal to reduce coronary disease, stroke and risk by 25% by the year 2010.
Jump Rope For Heart is a national fund-raising event that has been in existence for over 30 years.
This program engages elementary students in the physical activity of jumping rope while raising funds to support lifesaving heart and stroke research and education. Students ask friends and family for donations and receive thank-you gifts based on the dollars they raise. Based on the dollars raised your school will be eligible for gift certificates for free equipment.
The event is conducted in school by physical education instructors or coaches and can be scheduled whenever it’s most convenient during the school year — during physical education class, lunch or before or after school.
This educational program teaches physical fitness and promotes the value of community service to students and their families and shows students that they can contribute to their community’s welfare.
