The Richie Ashburn Memorial Home Runs for Heart event is held by the American Heart Association and the Philadelphia Phillies in honor of Richie Ashburn, the former Hall of Fame Philadelphia Phillies player and broadcaster, who died of a heart attack in 1997.

This home-run derby style event allows participants the once in a lifetime opportunity to take 20 swings at home plate in Citizens Bank Park.  After batting participants can take a turn at fielding, pose for souvenir photos, bid on auction items and much more!  The team, individual man and individual woman with the most home runs and the most points (based on distance) receive prizes.

Law Firm Challenge The winning Law Firm team will receive engraved bats and will have their firm’s mane added to the perpetual Home Runs For Heart Law Firm Challenge Trophy that sits in the winning firms office until the following years event.

Come spend the day with the Heart Association and help us strike out heart disease.
