The Patient Voice

Value in healthcare word cloudA 12-member Patient Advisory Group has been engaged across Initiative activities, serving as ongoing consultants to ensure the patient experience remains central. These individuals conceptualized, designed and supported the execution of a “Patient Perspectives of Value Survey” conducted in fall 2018, aimed at assessing cardiovascular and stroke patients’ perceptions of the value of healthcare. Results were analyzed by the Initiative’s Patient Survey Workgroup and used to develop a framework to guide the inclusion of the patient perspective in the Initiative’s work.
