  • 21. Southern New England Heart Walk The Southern New England Heart Walk promotes physical activity and heart-healthy living in a fun environment. The event draws companies, survivors, friends and families to form teams for a 2-mile or 3.5-mile walk. Many walk in honor or in memory of loved ones to raise awareness in the fight against heart disease and stroke. This year, the 25th Anniversary event will be chaired by Vic Vetters, Vice President and General Manager of NBC10/WJAR! Union Bank was also the No. 1 fundraising team in 2012 and 2010. Bank employees, family, friends and customers collectively raised more than $580,000 during the 2013 Heart Walk campaign.
