The Mercy Health Heart Mini Marathon & Walk celebrates its 36th running on March 17th. The Heart Mini offers events for participants of all fitness levels. Events include: signature 15K Heart Mini Marathon, Heart ½ Marathon, 5K HeartRun, 5K & 10K Heart Walks, 2K Kids’ Mini MaraFun and 1K Steps for Stroke for heart and stroke survivors.
The weekend starts with the Health and Fitness Expo on Saturday, March 16 at the Duke Energy Convention Center. The Expo features free and fitness screenings, exhibits and special activities for children including a free Kid’s Fun Run for ages seven and under.
The Heart Mini is presented by Mercy Health. All proceeds benefit the American Heart Association. For registration, training and additional details, visit heartmini.org.
