The 5th Annual American Heart Ride is a unique cycling experience and fundraising program to support the American Heart Association. You will be part of an exclusive team of cycling enthusiasts from the corporate, medical, and philanthropic world who are committed to our mission: building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke –- one peddle stroke at a time! The funds raised from Heart Ride will fund lifesaving research, medical and consumer education, and public advocacy.
The American Heart Association will train you to participate in a 27-mile, 59-mile, or 100-mile bike ride through the heart of the Hamptons of Long Island, NY. Whether you are a beginner or a skilled cyclist, you will have access to an experienced and knowledgeable coach who will guide you and create a personalized training program for you to ensure you reach your goal.
Why Ride?
- Fun, camaraderie, and heart-healthy exercise
- Personalized training program by expert coaches
- Advice on nutrition, injury prevention, and fitness
- Personalized fundraising web site, materials, and staff support
- Accommodations for two nights
- Exclusive Heart Ride team gear
- Professional course support and guides
Fundraising minimums will start at $750 and will be based on the benefits they select to receive from the program. We want all team members to be successful in raising at least the minimum goal, and have set up the program to provide as much support as possible through web sites, materials, and staff support.
Each participant will be set up with their own personalized fundraising web site. This will allow you to let your family and friends know about your commitment to participate in the exclusive Heart Ride. Do you know someone who suffered a heart attack or stroke? Dedicate your web site to them and complete the ride in their honor or memory!
