Knowing your medical problems and researching it is the key to staying on top of it and if that dosen't help and you need a boost, just talk to your doctor, they will always put you back on track.

Hi, my name is Mike and I was quite frankly on top of my health, with working out and working 2 jobs 6 days a week, but my ignorance to the warnings of family history and the fact that i smoked, ate dairy rich foods and red meat and had a taste for sweets, I just exorcised harder thinking that would take care of the problem.

When I was told I had diabetes, I was shocked I had no signs, but it was a dentist who told me i had this problem by the fact my teeth, which were always in good order, started to become loose and fall out.

All I can say is I didn't take it seriously enough and 8 years later at the young age of 46 i was told of a heart attack i didn't feel and had 3 arteries totally closed that I now after triple bypass and the thought of leaving this earth and my four kids and the women I love I have made a complete change in my lifestyle, eating, quiting smoking, cardiac rehab and reading everything on diabetes, which I believe will cause all those problems I had including silent heart attacks that i am feeling good and loosing weight.

Life is too short, take care of your diabetes, it will kill you if you take it for granted. I now check my suger 2 times a day take my medicine and read.  Knowing your medical problems and researching it is the key to staying on top of it and if that dosen't help and you need a boost, just talk to your doctor, they will always put you back on track. mike
