I have been diagnosed for over forty years now and I barely remember when I did not have diabetes.

What I do remember before I had diabetes is that I did not have to have shots everyday just to check my glucose level. i remember eating sugar and not caring at all if my glucose level would get too high.

Many of my family members have type 2 diabetes and it hurts watching my grandchildren grow, knowing they might get diabetes. I was a physical education teacher and I ran everyday. Diabetes has affected my amount of exercise greatly.

My family has helped dramatically through my experience with type 2 diabetes.I hope to help everyone learn about diabetes,so that they can get help immediately and not feel so bad.
