July 26, 2012 — The American Heart Association invites supporters to eat, drink and save lives at the 2nd annual Omaha American Heart Association Wine Stroll, from 6 to 9 p.m., Aug. 17, at Midtown Crossing.
A limited number of tickets are available and cost $30 each or $100 for four. Cost includes a wine glass, wine and food tastings, discounts, a program and map and entry in a raffle for a Midtown Crossing “Staycation”. Tickets are available online at www.heart.org/Omaha or at (402) 346-0771 ext. 29.
Walk-up tickets will be available at Element Hotel on a space-available basis. All Wine Stroll proceeds support the mission of the Omaha American Heart Association.
Participating retailers include Cantina Laredo, CRAVE, Glo Lounge, Ingredient Restaurant, Marcus Midtown Cinema, Parmida Home, The Afternoon, Three Dog Bakery and Wohlner's Neighborhood Grocery & Deli.
“The Wine Stroll lets people get a taste of what Midtown Crossing has to offer and show their support for the American Heart Association,” said Nick Huff, Group Sales and Marketing Manager of CRAVE. “Bring a family member or a friend because good food and wine is meant to be shared.”
An American dies from cardiovascular disease every 39 seconds. Every 40 seconds, someone suffers a new or a repeat stroke. The American Heart Association’s mission is to build healthier lives by preventing, treating, and defeating these diseases – two of Nebraska’s leading killers.
“At the Wine Stroll you can save lives by having a fun night out on the town. It doesn’t get much better than that,” Huff said.
The American Heart Association’s Wine Stroll is sponsored by Midtown Crossing and Omaha Happy Hours.
