African American and Latina women are disproportionately affected by heart disease and stroke and it’s time to turn the statistics around. Silent No More is a FREE educational seminar empowering women of color through education and action. Learn how to prevent the onset of the number one and number four killers of Americans through interactive and informative workshops and demonstrations like “How to Cook with Low Sodium” and The Role of Health Education and Awareness in the Black Church.”
Silent No More is celebrating its 15th year of addressing issues specific to women of color and this year will welcome Dr. Robin L. Smith as the keynote speaker. Dr. Robin is an ordained minister, television and radio personality, #1 bestselling author of "Lies At the Altar: The Truth About Great Marriages" and the popular "Inspirational Vitamins: A Guide To Personal Empowerment." Her latest book, "Hungry: The Truth About Being Full" was released February 2013. In addition, she is a keynote speaker and licensed psychologist. You can often find Dr. Robin's words of wisdom as an expert in national publications.
She has contributed to Super Soul Sunday, The Oprah Winfrey Show, Anderson Cooper 360, Larry King Live, NBC/The Today Show, ABC News/Good Morning America and Fox News Channel and many other news and talk show formats, including The Tom Joyner Morning Show and The Michael Baisden Show.
