When
Applications are due no later than July 22, 2012, and the participants will be notified shortly thereafter. The Challenge will kick-off on Monday, August 20 2012 and will come to a close on
Friday, November 9, 2012. The women in this challenge will be revealed at the Go Red for Women Luncheon on Thursday, November 8, 2012.

Why
Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women. In fact, 1 in 29 women die of breast cancer, but about 1 in every 2.4 women will die of heart disease, stroke, and other cardiovascular diseases. Despite these staggering facts, only 21% of women consider heart disease a health threat. We have set out to change this perception with the hopes of also changing these statistics. The BetterU Challenge will not only encourage women to live a healthier lifestyle, but it will also raise awareness about the importance of heart health and how we can save our own lives as well as the lives of the women we love.

How
You can simply fill out the attached form and submit it to the New Hampshire office of the American Heart Association (see form for details).

Go Red for Women celebrates the energy, passion and power we have as women to band together to wipe out heart disease and stroke. It’s time for a BetterU.
