Multi-Cultural Initiatives Department The Most Powerful Voices Gospel Concert & Health Expo
The Multi-Cultural Initiatives Department (MCI) works to empower communities as well as individuals to develop heart-healthy habits and promote healthy lifestyle changes that will assist with changing the perception that stroke and heart disease is inevitable and that it is preventable.

We know that to reach that goal it will take a “Mega” community of partners; all working together to create a sustainable culture of health.  A “Culture of Health” in which living healthier lives is the default choice built into the fabric of where people live, work, worship, and play.

Vision: transforming environments through the creation of a sustainable culture of health in multicultural communities.

• Impact cultural norms for a healthier environment
• Build powerful partnerships
• Meet people where they are

• Increase healthy lifestyle behaviors
• Increase chain of survival
• Sustainably transform multicultural communities

Go Red Por Tu Corazón

The facts are clear. Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of Latinas. More women die of heart disease than all forms of cancer combined.
