My name is Donnie. I am now 7 years old and am in the 2nd grade at Rogers Elementary. I really like soccer and playing baseball.

I knew that I wanted to help collect donations for Jump Rope For Heart, especially because I have heart disease myself. And, I was asked to tell my story to the American Heart Association so they could share it with kids all over the country.

Now I can do everything other kids can do. This is my 2nd year playing baseball and soccer - I really like it!

I feel really lucky that I am okay, and want to help other kids like me. Last January, one year after I was diagnosed with heart disease, I participated in my school’s Jump Rope For Heart. I collected over $1,000 in donations for the Heart Association!
