This professional education conference is designed to increase the healthcare professionals’ knowledge of current cerebrovascular issues in caring for stroke patients and families across the continuum of care. Topics include State of the State on Stroke Care and Chronic Diseases in Connecticut; EMS Stroke Care: Recognizing Acute Stroke; ED Stroke Care: The Early Moments of Emergency Stroke Care, Making Them Count; Imaging and Decision Algorithms for Interventions; Unique Emergency Interventions Available for Stroke Patients in Connecticut; Neuro-Intensive Care Management of the Stroke Patient; Stroke Complications.
