Heart disease is still the No. 1 killer of women, taking the life of 1 in 3 women each year. On average, nearly 12 women die from heart disease and stroke in Iowa each day. But it can be prevented.Sisters. Girlfriends. Colleagues.
You share everything from recipes and work/life tips to deep and emotional moments with the women in your life. Make sure you share how much you want them to live by passing on some lifesaving knowledge.
Participants of the 2012 Ames Go Red BetterU Makeover Challenge will share their stories about making lifestyle changes to improve their heart health at the Luncheon.
Features include KCCI reporter, Angie Hunt; cardiac arrest survivor, Julie Schwery; and Suzanne Zilber, Ph.D., an expert on stress and its effects on our hearts.
The 2012 Co-Chairs are Jody Bennett and Kelly Stewart. Join other women in leadership across Ames by raising awareness at the Go Red For Women Luncheon. Show your company support and receive recognition for helping raise funds for local research. Go Red For Women® provides an inspirational experience that motivates women to become proactive in improving their quality of life. Guests learn how easy it is to prevent the long-term effects of cardiovascular disease.
Make It YOUR Mission to help stop this No. 1 killer. Find out more about the Luncheon.
