Join us this year for the 7th ANNUAL POWER OF LAUGHTER HEALTH WORKSHOP & COMEDY LUNCHEON. We are serving up a great luncheon that includes: a heart-healthy lunch, free health screenings, a silent auction, shopping, exhibitors and an educational workshop for men and women!
ENTERTAINMENT: Our featured comedian is Damon Williams. He is a regular on the Tom Joiner Morning Show and has appeared on BET ComicView. His material is universal and there's something for all ages. Damon's popularity has provided him the opportunity to perform with some of the biggest stars in the business, such as, Aretha Franklin, Chris Rock, Jamie Foxx and even former President Barack Obama, where he served as host for a campaign brunch.
VOICES OF CATHEDRAL: under the leadership of Elder Christopher Williams of Cathedral Worship Center, Euclid, OH, this powerful choir will salute survivors in harmony with ...."one voice" as they pay tribute to their struggle and recovery.
HONORARY EVENT CHAIR: KAREN BUTLER - Northeast Ohio Neighborhood Health Services, Inc., (NEON). Karen K. Butler serves as the Chief Operations Officer of Northeast Ohio Neighborhood Health Services, Inc., (NEON). Neon is a nonprofit community healthcare with seven locations. Established in 1967, now celebrating 50 years of service is one of the largest and oldest Federally Qualified Health Center systems in the country.
HEALTH WORKSHOP PRESENTER: DR. MARGARET LARKINS-PETTIGREW - University Hospitals, MacDonald Women's Hospital; Case Medical Center . Dr. Larkins-Pettigrew has administrative roles which include the Edgar B. Jackson Chair & Director of the Center for Clinical Excellence and Diversity at University Hospital Case Western Medical Center as well as Dean of Students for Case Western Reserve University. Clinically, as an Associate Professor and Head of Global Health programs in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Biology, she is an expert in the care of women living with HIV, a clinical educator and busy practitioner at MacDonald Women's Hospital. She maintains an adjunct faculty appointment at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
